Dobrinishte ( Dobrinishta) is a town in southwestern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Bansko, Blagoevgrad region. It is a well-known balneo-therapeutic resort.

The town of Dobrinishte is situated in a hilly area, at 850 m above the sea-level. It is encircled by three mountains: Rila, Pirin and the Rhodope Mountains. Dobrinishte provides the best combination of conditions and prospects for both winter and summer vacations: a beautiful nature, hospitable local people, ski slopes and opportunities for rural and eco-tourism.

At a distance of 11 km from the town of Dobrinishte is situated the chalet “Gotse Delchev” (1412 m above sea-level), from which a cable-lift will take you to the ski slope of Bezbog chalet (2236 m above sea-level).

Alongside the Dobrinishtka River is a mineral pool known by the name of “the Roman Banche”. Another beautiful sight worthy of seeing is the “Saint Nicholas” Waterfall.

The only edelweiss garden in Bulgaria is to be found in Dobrinishte.

The church “St. Peter and St. Paul" was built in 19 th century.

In the Pirin Mountain, about 4 km to the northwest of the village of Obidim and approximately 3 km southeast of Dobrinishte there is located the monastery “Saint Panteleimon”. It was founded in the 1920s and is still functioning. It is comprised of a church, a residential building and an agricultural section. The monastery has been declared a cultural monument.

Dobrinishte has been proclaimed a balneo- therapeutic resort because of its 17 mineral springs, the average temperature of which is 30-43° C.

Balneo-therapy is provided at two of the spa centers as well as at the public mineral baths and the open swimming pool. The mineral water is beneficial in the case of renal-urinary, gastro-intestinal, metabolic, endocrinal, bilious and liver-related diseases as well as problems with the upper respiratory tract, work-related intoxications and dermal wounds.
