Razlog - Golf Course, Bulgaria
The golf courses and the associated with them villa housing projects and complexes have evidently become the new craze with real estate investors in Bulgaria. Such developments grow in number near bigger towns and resorts. The areas of Bansko and Razlog have led the way in this field as well.
There are currently more than ten projects launched. The implementation of some of them has already started while others are still at the design stage. Most of these golf courses are on the territory of Razlog municipality.
Construction has begun on the first huge complex – the “Pirin Golf & Holiday Club”. It will spread on an area of about 140 hectares in Betolovoto locality. Investor is the company “Balkanstroy”.
The golf course has been designed by Ian Woosnam. It is almost completed. The 18-hole site occupies a territory of 90 hectares. Near the golf course there are being constructed residential buildings, family houses and a hotel complex with a total of 700 apartments - divided into five neighborhoods. The completion of the complex is planned for next year but it will partially start to operate this summer. Expected investments are 130 million BGN.
The developed building area of all residences is 120 000 m 2. It will correspond to a 5-star category and will also have a modern SPA center, swimming pools, tennis and volleyball playgrounds and horse riding and training facilities. The second project of “Balkanstroy” is called “Pirin Golf & Country Club” and will be located in the vicinity of Tsarnako-Betolovoto.
The investment in this undertaking is once again 130 million BGN and “Balkanstroy” was awarded the First Class Investor Certificate for this project. Its construction has not yet started. The planned area is of 100 hectares, of which 78 hectares will be occupied by the golf course. Nearby, there will also be residential buildings, a hotel complex and a sports & entertainment center. It is anticipated that the project will be completed within 3-4 years.
